Unlock Your Business's Full Potential with LifeTalk's Monthly Meetup Groups - New Season begins 1st July 2025
If you're experiencing change or transition within your business and looking to refine and strengthen your financial advice offering, consider that a regular online meetup with other advisers could be the missing piece in your growth strategy. Imagine a dedicated group of peers where your most pressing challenges meet fresh insights and actionable solutions – and where your goals receive the collaborative focus they deserve.
"When you join a meetup or mastermind Group, you're not just scaling your business; you're also refining your approach for long-term success."
Is a Meetup Group the missing piece in your practice?
A LifeTalk poll made it clear – IFAs and financial planners want a monthly opportunity to connect, share ideas and get real-time feedback from peers. Advisers see real value in building closer relationships, sanity-checking decisions and finding solutions through open conversations with others who understand their challenges.
That's why we're excited to invite financial advice professionals to join the LifeTalk Monthly Meetups. Think of it as a reality check, ideas exchange and monthly problem-solving session all rolled into one.
Joining a monthly peer group brings startling benefits – from gaining best practices to building meaningful connections and discovering new perspectives. It’s a space to tackle challenges, share ideas and uncover opportunities you might not find on your own.
"They’re great sessions. Would highly recommend to other advisers." Matt, LifeTalk Meetup Group member
Ever walked away from a conference thinking the best part wasn’t the keynote or the breakout sessions – but the conversations over coffee with other advisers?
It’s a common experience for IFAs. While the content is useful, the real magic happens in those in-between moments – the candid chats with peers who understand your world, share your challenges, and offer insights that no speaker on stage could.
That’s the heart of LifeTalk's monthly adviser meetups. It’s not about consuming more content or sitting through another presentation. It’s about creating space for the conversations you wish happened more often – the ones that leave you with practical ideas, a sense of direction and the reassurance that others are on the same path.
LifeTalk's meetups bring together advisers who value connection and collaboration, offering a structured but informal environment to share, learn and grow alongside one another. Because sometimes, the best solutions come not from a speaker – but from the adviser sitting next to you.
Who are the monthly meetups for?
The groups are open to IFAs, financial planners, wealth managers and other financial advice professionals. Think of it as a monthly reality check, ideas exchange and problem-solving session all rolled into one.
How often do we meet?
Each Season includes six Zoom meetings over six months. We meet at the start of each month — a chance to check in, refocus your energy before the month gets away from you, and move forward with clarity.
Do I have to attend every meeting?
No, life often gets in the way! That said it's very common for members of monthly meetups and masterminds to see their group as sacrosanct as they can be a critical part of your personal and business development! All sessions are recorded.
How much do I have to participate?
It's totally up to you, though ideally you will be keen to be fully engaged in order to maximise the benefits for both yourself and other members of your group.
Are the meetings confidential?
Yes. What's said in the room, stays in the room and the recordings are only made available to members. We maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of the meetings and relationships made. All meetings are held under Chatham House Rules.
Does my location matter?
We host the meetings online over Zoom so that advisers from around the UK can join. This brings a diverse range of experience and issues to the group.
Who else will be in the group?
The group is aimed at forward thinking IFAs and financial planners who are eager to share stories and best practice, exchange ideas and learn from one another regardless of their years of experience. Whether you are just getting started or an experienced adviser, everyone will have something to share - and learn.
How do I find the time?
We believe that you get back the time you invest when you join a meetup group. In the long run, you’ll save time by being more focused and having greater clarity on your goals.
Do I have to commit to a lengthy contract?
No. Whilst we suggest that you aim for at least three months membership, we have a simple understanding which enables you to cancel without notice at any time.
What topics are covered during the monthly sessions?
Some of the topics covered will depend on the membership make-up of individual groups, but typically popular areas are:
Topics will be included within our special meetup format below 👇
What size organisation is eligible to join?
LifeTalk meetups are more about individuals than entire businesses. If people within an adviser firm benefit from the group, that will inevitably have a positive impact on the wider business. That said, advisers from a wide range of businesses - large and small join.
Is it expensive to join?
As financial advisers you know the value of strategic planning and investments. While there's a monetary and time investment to joining, the return in insights, networking, work-life balance and growth strategies are invaluable. Places in Season 1 are at a heavily discounted rate.
How do you differ from other peer to peer groups?
Most other peer development groups have members from a wide range of occupations and professions, which can mean that it can take longer to see the real benefits of a meetup or mastermind meeting. LifeTalk's meetup groups only allow financial advisers to join, so members will already have a strong understanding of one another's business challenges right from the outset.
What level of experience do members need to have?
IFAs and financial planners from every stage of their career journey are welcome. Our group is thoughtfully curated to blend seasoned expertise with fresh insights, ensuring a dynamic environment where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute.
Why online?
Having the LifeTalk meetups online via Zoom offers clear benefits for advisers:
- Convenience: No travel or accommodation – just log in and join.
- Accessibility: Connect from anywhere in the UK, no need for in-person meetings.
- Efficiency: Focused, productive sessions that maximise your time and prioritise collaboration – helping you grow your practice.

Each monthly meeting is planned to be 60 to 80 minutes maximum in length which means that we aim to be as focused as possible. Everyone's time is precious and we want to be respectful of that, though we do promise that each session will be enjoyable, fun and enlightening.
There will inevitably be times when the meeting will go over time and on these occasions we will ask members' permission to continue the session. Naturally you can leave at any time and you'll be sent the full recording.
The format below follows a classic meetup or mastermind group format, but has been adapted for the adviser market and for an online meeting. The format will stay the same for each 'season' of six months. It may be adapted/tweaked for each new season.
