Unlock Your Business's Full Potential with LifeTalk's Mastermind Meetings
If you're experiencing change or transition within your business and looking to elevate your financial advice proposition, you should consider that a Mastermind could be the missing piece in your growth strategy. Imagine a dedicated group of peers where your most pressing challenges meet fresh insights and actionable solutions, and where your ambitious goals receive the collaborative focus they deserve.
"When you join a Mastermind Group, you're not just scaling your business; you're also refining your approach for long-term success."
A recent poll in LifeTalk showed emphatically that IFAs and financial planners were interested in a monthly opportunity to build closer relationships with fellow advisers where they can share ideas, sanity check things and get answers to issues faced by smaller firms.
That's why we're incredibly excited to invite financial advice professionals to join the LifeTalk Mastermind. Think of it as a reality check, ideas exchange and monthly problem-solving session all rolled into one.
Participating in a Mastermind group meeting brings numerous benefits. It equips you with essential best practices, delivers valuable industry insights, facilitates meaningful connections and introduces fresh perspectives that can help you tackle challenges and seize new opportunities.
Whilst Masterminds have evolved since Napoleon Hill introduced the concept in his acclaimed book Think and Grow Rich in 1937, the benefits of membership are greater than ever.
A Mastermind is a small group of like-minded professionals who meet regularly to share expertise, set goals and address challenges and opportunities. It's a space for collective growth where everyone chips in with their own insights, and as a group they support each other's personal and business growth.
For those in financial planning and advice, joining a Mastermind group meeting can have significant advantages. It offers you vital best practice, industry insights, helps you make valuable connections and provides fresh perspectives for overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities.
It's a game-changer if you're looking to take your business to the next level and strike a great work-life balance.
"A brainstorming and accountability club all rolled into one, where everyone helps each other grow."
Who is the Mastermind Group for?
The groups are open to IFAs, financial planners, wealth managers and other financial advice professionals. Think of it as a monthly reality check, ideas exchange and problem-solving session all rolled into one.
How often do we meet?
Season 1 is made up of six Zoom meetings over the course of six months with the option to renew for a further six in Season 2.
Do I have to attend every meeting?
No, life often gets in the way! That said it's very common for members of Masterminds to see their group as sacrosanct as they can be a critical part of your personal and business development! All sessions are recorded.
How much do I have to participate?
It's totally up to you, though ideally you will be keen to be fully engaged in order to maximise the benefits for both yourself and other members of your group.
How is confidentiality maintained?
What's said in the room, stays in the room and the recordings are only made available to members. We maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of the meetings and relationships made. All meetings are held under Chatham House Rules.
Does my location matter?
We have decided to host the meetings online so that advisers from around the UK can join. This brings a diverse range of experience and issues to the group.
Who else will be in the group?
The group is aimed at forward thinking IFAs and financial planners who are eager to share stories and best practice, exchange ideas and learn from one another regardless of their years of experience. Whether you are just getting started or an experienced adviser, everyone will have something to share - and learn.
How do I find the time?
We believe that you get back the time you invest when you join a Mastermind. In the long run, you’ll save time by being more focused and having greater clarity on your goals.
Do I have to commit to a lengthy contract?
No. Whilst we suggest that you aim for at least four months membership, we have a simple understanding which enables you to terminate without notice at any time.
What topics are covered during the mastermind sessions?
Some of the topics covered will depend on the membership make-up of individual groups, but typically popular areas are:
Topics will be included within our special mastermind format below 👇
What size organisation is eligible to join?
LifeTalk Masterminds are more about individuals than entire businesses. If the people within an adviser firm benefit from the Mastermind, that will inevitably have a positive impact on the wider business. That said, advisers from a wide range of businesses - large and small will join.
Is it expensive to join?
As financial advisers you know the value of strategic planning and investments. While there's a monetary and time investment to joining, the return in insights, networking, work-life balance and growth strategies are invaluable.
How do you differ from other peer to peer groups?
Most other peer development groups have members from a wide range of occupations and professions. Whilst members can learn new ways to do things, it can take longer to see the benefits of a Mastermind because of the diverse membership base. LifeTalk's Mastermind group only allow bona fide financial advisers to join, so members will already have a strong understanding of one another's business challenges.
What level of experience do members need to have?
IFAs and financial planners from every stage of their career journey are welcome. Our group is thoughtfully curated to blend seasoned expertise with fresh insights, ensuring a dynamic environment where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute.

Each monthly meeting is planned to be 60 to 90 minutes in length which means that we will aim to be as focused as possible and avoid undue 'chit chat'. Everyone's time is precious and we want to be respectful of that, though we do promise that each session will be enjoyable, fun and enlightening.
There will inevitably be times when the meeting will go over ninety minutes and on these occasions we will ask members' permission to continue the session.
The format below follows a classic Mastermind group format, but has been adapted for the adviser market and for an online meeting. The format will stay the same for each mastermind 'season' of six months. It may be adapted/tweaked for each new season.
